[Video 9] The Trojan Horse strategy that penetrates your prospects' resistance, skepticism, and disbelief soon after arriving at your site

Welcome to day 9 of the crash course!

In this video...

...I'm going to reveal the Trojan Horse strategy that penetrates your prospects' resistance, skepticism, and disbelief soon after arriving at your site.

In line with the "advertising is much like war, minus the venom" Claude Hopkins quote I mentioned on day 4...

...I'm going to show you how to use the Trojan Horse strategy from Greek mythology to turn your prospect magnet into a stealth delivery vehicle for your first paid offer

(i.e. the low-ticket offer designed to convert your prospects into first-time buyers, recoup your advertising expenses, and fund your advertising budget)

It caused the fall of Troy and it'll help cause the fall of your prospects' entrenched barriers of resistance, skepticism, and disbelief as well.

If you're not familiar with the Trojan Horse story...

...here's a quick summary:

During the Trojan War...

(after a fruitless 10-year siege on the city of Troy)

...the Greeks constructed a huge wooden horse meant to appear to the Trojans as an offering to the goddess Athena for a safe return home.

Concealed within the horse were an elite group of Greek soldiers planning to infiltrate the city.

The Greeks pretended to sail away and the Trojans wheeled the horse into their city as a victory trophy.

That night...

...the soldiers crept out of the horse and opened the gates for the rest of the Greek army

(which had sailed back under cover of night)

The Greeks then entered and destroyed the city of Troy, ending the war.

The Trojan Horse strategy is indirect persuasion at its finest.

Instead of trying to go up against the full brunt of Troy's defenses...

...the Greeks devised a way for the Trojans to invite them in!

And you (as a network marketer looking to prospect and recruit online) can do the same.

The way you use the Trojan Horse strategy to turn your prospect magnet into a stealth delivery vehicle for your first paid offer...

(i.e. the low-ticket offer designed to convert your prospects into first-time buyers, recoup your advertising expenses, and fund your advertising budget)

...is you package your prospect magnet as a free PDF download that's available to people as soon as they arrive at your site

(i.e. no email opt-in required)

Towards the end of the PDF...

(after the promised content has been delivered)

...you then transition into selling prospects on your first paid offer and provide one or more links to the order page for that offer

(you can also sell them on subscribing to an email newsletter in order to warm them up even further, but I highly recommend you sell them on your first paid offer instead so you can convert them into first-time buyers, recoup your advertising expenses, and fund your advertising budget as soon as possible)

What I just revealed is the exact opposite of what nearly every online network marketer does to generate leads/prospects to follow-up with

(and what nearly every online advertiser, marketer, and/or salesperson does as well)

Nearly every online network marketer requires people to give up their email address in exchange for the free content (i.e. the prospect magnet) they're offering them...

...even if it's packaged as a PDF

(which doesn't even require an email address to access and consume like how an email newsletter does)

Asking for their email address right away like this used to be a lot more effective during the earlier days of internet marketing...

...but it has long since lost its appeal

(even though it still works at some level)

People are so inundated with marketing emails nowadays...

(a lot of which is unsolicited spam)

...that the idea of giving away their email address to yet another advertiser, marketer, and/or salesperson in exchange for free content is bothersome, if not a complete turn-off.

But when you don't ask for their email address and instead offer a free PDF download that's available to them as soon as they arrive at your site...

...the power of offering free content to convert traffic into prospects (and eventually into first-time buyers) is reinstated to its former glory.

Now that you know how to use the Trojan Horse strategy to turn your prospect magnet into a stealth delivery vehicle for your first paid offer...

(which involves packaging it as a free PDF download that's available to people as soon as they arrive at your site and then selling prospects on your first paid offer towards the end of the PDF)

...I'm going to show you how to format the contents of your PDF so it doesn't scream "sales pitch!"

(ensuring the Trojan Horse strategy is as effective as possible)

To make my prospects feel like they downloaded a valuable piece of content...

(rather than an obvious sales pitch masquerading as a PDF)

...I format the contents of the PDF like a book.

In society...

...books are regarded as vehicles for delivering valuable information written by knowledgeable experts.

The more you can format the contents of your PDF like a book...

...the better of an impression you'll have on your prospects and the more effective the Trojan Horse strategy will be

(of course, your PDF must contain valuable content in order for the Trojan Horse strategy to be effective in the first place)

The way I format the contents of my PDF like a book is (first and foremost) I make the first page of the PDF look like the cover of a book.
